Hello to all,

Welcome to Victoria Web Design's website. First of all, let me tell you a little history about how Victoria Web Design got started. In early 1998 I decided it was time to start my own small business, while continuing to work shift work at a local chemical plant as a process operator.

I came up with an idea for a really unique business model that involved doing preventive maintenance on houses. Well, one of the first thing I needed for my newly formed business was a website. I'm a hands on kind of guy, so I decided to do it myself. After the website was completed, one of my co-workers at the plant who was also a part-time small business owner asked me to build his company's website. I was hesitant at first because I wanted to stay focused on my own business goals. Before I finished that website a second co-worker approached me about doing his company's website also. Before I knew it, I had more website building work than I could shake a stick at. My freshly conceived business concept never got off the ground.

I am a firm believer that if God leads you down a certain path, follow Him. You know the old saying, If God gives you lemons, make lemonade. Web Design just felt like the direction I needed to go. I have slowly continued to grow Victoria Web Design into a full-time profession. I have well over 150 websites under my belt now.

From the beginning, I focused on building bright, flashy, simple "business card" style websites for small businesses.

Once I had Victoria Web Design up and running I heard story after story of web designers who would build a website for a client, and then leave the client out in the cold when their website needed updating with new information. To solve this problem, I came up with the concept of offering a flat all-inclusive yearly service agreement that covers everything related to managing a website. This concept allows you, as a small business owner, to focus on growing your business while we focus on maintaining and updating your website.

After several years into building websites, one of my clients came to me and asked me to build a brochure and business cards for his company. He requested that they look and feel exactly like his website did. I ran with the idea, since it really is a great idea to be able to maintain consistency between all the advertising media for a small business.
